Management functions include conducting scientific research in the field of medical rehabilitation, balneology and related branches of medicine. The main objective is to actively participate in competitions for research projects funded from the state budget in the form of basic, grant and program-oriented financing, as well as the commercialization of the results of scientific and scientific-technical activities.
The Department ensures the practical application of the obtained research results. This is reflected in the preparation and publication of scientific articles in peer-reviewed domestic and foreign publications with a non-zero impact factor, the development of security documents (copyright certificates for intellectual property, patents for utility models and inventions), registration of trademarks and brands, as well as author supervision and technical assistance in the implementation of developments in practice.
An important area of activity is conducting research on the development of medical technologies for the use of various drugs and their combinations with other biological factors - mineral waters, extracts of medicinal mud and medicinal herbs. Comprehensive studies of the natural healing resources of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hydromineral and mud) are also being conducted with a view to their subsequent resort and extracurricular development.
The Department develops the scientific foundations of rational use of natural resources in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan, contributing to the conservation and effective use of the country's unique natural resources for therapeutic and preventive purposes.
