Kazakhstan's experience of sanatorium-resort nutrition is presented at the All-Russian Congress

On September 23-24, 2026, the First All–Russian Congress with international participation "Healthy Nutrition - the way to National Health" was held in the city of Mineralnye Vody of the Russian Federation.

The event was organized by the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, the Federal State Budgetary Institution "NMIC of Rehabilitation and Balneology" of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation and the Association of Resort and Tourist Cities.

The Congress was attended by representatives of the scientific and medical community, sanatorium-resort organizations and specialized institutions in Russia and abroad. The main attention was paid to the integration of modern scientific data into the practice of therapeutic and preventive nutrition, issues of diet therapy, pediatric nutrition, as well as the introduction of modern protocols of therapeutic nutrition in sanatorium-resort organizations.

Kazakhstan was represented at the event by Sayagul Kairgeldina, Director of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

In the framework of the section "Nutrition for health in sanatoriums: Russian and international experience" Sayagul Kairgeldina made a presentation on "Nutrition as a factor of effectiveness of sanatorium treatment in Kazakhstan".

In her speech, the head of the Institute presented approaches to catering as an integral part of the treatment process in sanatorium-resort organizations. Special attention was paid to the formation of diets taking into account the age, health status and individual needs of patients, as well as the specifics of the organization of children's sanatorium-resort nutrition.

A separate section of the report was devoted to the use of national medicinal foods and traditional products of Kazakhstan in wellness programs. In particular, the possibilities of using mare's and camel's milk, horse meat and other products with significant nutritional and biological potential were presented.

Participation in the Congress made it possible to present Kazakhstan's scientific and practical approaches to the organization of therapeutic nutrition, share experiences with relevant specialists and identify promising areas for further cooperation in the field of sanatorium treatment, medical rehabilitation and nutrition.

For the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation, participation in international events is an important tool for developing professional relationships, introducing modern scientific approaches and promoting Kazakhstani experience in the field of spa medicine.
