Sayagul Kairgeldina, Director of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, participated in the "Maral Fest" tourism festival held on 1 August in the Martuk District of the Aktobe Region.

The festival was organized by the Department of Entrepreneurship of the Aktobe Region, the Regional Department of Tourism, and the Akimat of the Martuk District. The event took place at the unique ZARU pantotherapy resort in the village of Kazanka, the only maral therapy center in Western Kazakhstan.

During the official opening ceremony, Sayagul Kairgeldina delivered a welcoming address to the participants and guests of the festival. In her speech, she emphasized the importance of developing Kazakhstan's spa and health resort sector and highlighted the unique potential of the Aktobe Region for medical tourism.

"The development of maral breeding and pantotherapy in Western Kazakhstan opens new opportunities for medical rehabilitation and health improvement for our citizens. Festivals such as 'Maral Fest' not only promote domestic tourism but also draw the attention of the expert community to scientifically validated health improvement methods that are being successfully implemented at Kazakhstan's health resorts," said Sayagul Kairgeldina.

As part of the festival, a specialized scientific and practical conference was also held, bringing together leading scientists, professors from medical universities, representatives of the Research Institute of Nutrition, and the Kazakhstan Maral Breeders Association. The experts discussed the latest scientific findings on the therapeutic properties of pantohematogen, presented research confirming its therapeutic effectiveness, and showcased newly patented developments as well as products of the ZARU health resort.

The participation of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the festival once again demonstrated the Institute's ongoing commitment to advancing scientific support for the spa and health resort sector, strengthening interregional cooperation, and introducing modern rehabilitation technologies aimed at preserving and improving the health of the people of Kazakhstan.
