Local Bioethics Commission (LKB) The Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan has successfully passed an independent assessment and received a certificate of compliance with the requirements of Good Clinical Practice of the Republic of Kazakhstan (GCP RK), standards and guidelines of the World Health Organization (WHO), as well as the Guidelines of the International Council for Harmonization (ICH GCP).
According to the results of the assessment of the Local Bioethics Commission of the Institute, it was awarded the status of full certification for a period of three years (2026-2029), which indicates the high level of organization of its activities and full compliance with international and national requirements in the field of ethical expertise of biomedical and clinical research.
Of particular importance to this achievement is the fact that a number of medical organizations are certified for a shorter period of time, while the Institute's Medical Laboratory has received a maximum three-year validity period of the certificate. This was the result of the systematic, consistent and professional work of the staff of the Local Bioethics Commission under the leadership of its chairman, Baurzhan Madina Baurzhankyzy, aimed at continuous professional development of the commission members, improvement of regulatory documentation and internal procedures, as well as the implementation of international GCP standards in practice.
The obtained certification confirms that the activities of the Laboratory comply with high national and international requirements, ensure independent and objective ethical examination of research, and also contribute to the protection of the rights, safety and well-being of participants in clinical trials.
Compliance with GCP requirements, WHO recommendations and ICH principles is the most important basis for conducting high-quality clinical trials, recognizing their results by the world scientific community and developing international scientific cooperation. The presence of a certified Local Bioethics Commission strengthens the credibility of the conducted research, expands the Institute's opportunities for participation in national and international scientific projects and contributes to the further development of modern research infrastructure.
Obtaining a full three—year certification is not only a high assessment of the work done, but also a confirmation of the commitment of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the principles of quality, scientific integrity, protection of the rights of research participants and international standards for conducting clinical trials.
Congratulations to the staff of the Local Bioethics Commission on this significant achievement and wish them new professional successes, successful implementation of scientific projects and further achievements in the development of Russian medical science!
