The head of the Scientific Research Department of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan was awarded the Mamandygyna Adaldygy Ushin medal and elected Vice-President of the International Association of Professional Sports and Sports Tourism

On May 21-22, 2026, the International Forum "ANaMed Forum - New Generation 2026" on the topic "Artificial intelligence in medical rehabilitation and sports medicine: from research to practice" was held on the basis of the NAO "Kazakh National Medical University named after S.D. Asfendiyarov". In parallel, the international conference "Sport in the name of health" was held on the basis of the NAO "Kazakh Academy of Sports and Tourism".

Madina Baurzhan, Head of the Scientific Research Department of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, took part in the forum.

On the first day of the forum, Madina Baurzhan acted as the chairman of the "Young Scientist" section, and also headed the jury of the young scientists competition, within which special prizes from KazNMU Endowment and educational scholarships from leading domestic and foreign scientists were awarded.

On the second day of the forum, Madina Baurzhan presented a report on the topic: "Pulmonary rehabilitation: the possibilities of controlling the processes of fibrosis of lung tissue in dust-induced occupational lung diseases." The study was prepared as part of the scientific and technical program PCF 27199517.

In addition, within the framework of the international conference "Sport for Health" Madina Baurzhan made a presentation on "Problems and prospects of sports medicine development in the Republic of Kazakhstan", where topical issues of improving the system of sports medicine and rehabilitation were discussed.

Following the results of the international forum, the Almaty Declaration "Sport for Health" was adopted, aimed at developing interdisciplinary cooperation in the field of healthcare, sports and rehabilitation.

Within the framework of the forum, Madina Baurzhan was awarded the Mamandygyna Adaldigi Ushin medal for her high professionalism, contribution to the development of national healthcare and many years of conscientious work, and was also elected Vice-president of the International Association of Professional Sports and Sports Tourism.

The Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to develop research activities, strengthen international cooperation and introduce modern scientific approaches into the system of medical rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment, contributing to the development of national science and healthcare.
