World Health Day: “Together for Health. Support Science”

Published by : Dana

World Health Day, annually observed on April 7, in 2026 in Kazakhstan is held under the slogan
“TOGETHER FOR HEALTH. SUPPORT SCIENCE,”
initiated by the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan in collaboration with the World Health Organization.

The theme of this year reflects a key modern approach — “One Health,” which emphasizes the inseparable connection between human health, the state of the environment, animal welfare, and the sustainability of the entire ecosystem. This approach is becoming the foundation of an effective healthcare system and scientific research.

The Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, developing the scientific potential of the country, actively implements projects in the field of balneology and rehabilitation treatment. The institute’s activities are aimed at introducing modern scientific developments into practice, strengthening public health, and promoting a culture of prevention.

A special role in this work is played by the institute’s first branch — the Burabay Health Resort Complex, where patient rehabilitation is carried out on an ongoing basis, including both adults and children. Effective rehabilitation methods are applied here, along with the creation of an environment that promotes recovery through natural and climatic factors.

An important part of the institute’s activities is environmental and educational work. On a regular basis, campaigns such as “Taza Kazakhstan,” “Clean Thursday,” and community clean-up events are organized, aimed at preserving the environment. Various health-improving and educational activities are also held for patients and visitors, including health festivals and extracurricular sessions in the Educational Department, where the principles of a healthy lifestyle are actively promoted.

Thus, by combining science, practice, and environmental responsibility, the institute makes a significant contribution to the implementation of the “One Health” principles and the strengthening of public health.

The Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues its activities for the benefit of public health and the sustainable development of the healthcare system.
