The Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the National Academic Library of the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at developing scientific cooperation and preserving professional heritage in the field of sanatorium treatment and medical rehabilitation.

The National Academic Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan is one of the largest cultural, informational, scientific and educational centers in the country. The library has a significant fund of printed and electronic publications, actively develops digital resources and national electronic collections, and also acts as a platform for scientific, cultural and educational events at the national and international levels.

The Memorandum provides for the development of cooperation in a number of areas, including the holding of joint scientific events - conferences, seminars and symposiums, the exchange of electronic library collections and rare scientific materials, the implementation of projects in the field of history, culture and spiritual heritage, as well as the preparation of educational and media content.

The first practical step in the framework of cooperation was the transfer of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation to the National Academic Library of the first batch of rare printed publications on the sanatorium industry for their digitization. After digitization, these materials will be available to the scientific community and industry experts, which will preserve valuable scientific sources and expand researchers' access to specialized literature in the field of balneology and medical rehabilitation.

It is expected that the cooperation of the scientific institute and one of the country's leading libraries will contribute to the expansion of the research base, the popularization of professional knowledge and a deeper study of the historical and scientific aspects of the development of the sanatorium industry in Kazakhstan.

The Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation continues its systematic work to develop scientific research, strengthen interdepartmental cooperation and introduce modern scientific knowledge into the practice of medical rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment for the benefit of the health of the population of Kazakhstan.
