Meeting with deputies of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan

On February 19, 2026, at the branch of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Burabai Medical and Wellness Complex, under the leadership of the director of the Institute, Sayagul Kairgeldina, met with deputies of the Mazhilis of Parliament Natalia Dementieva and Yulia Kuchinskaya, Chairman of the Burabai district Maslikhat Malika Nurpanova, Chairman of the Kokshetau city Maslikhat Dastan Akimov, as well as deputies of the regional and district maslikhats of Akmola regions.
The event is dedicated to explaining the provisions of the new version of the Constitution of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the meeting, the deputies highlighted in detail the key aspects of the updated Basic Law, emphasizing that the amendments are aimed at strengthening the protection of citizens' rights and freedoms, developing democratic institutions and strengthening the principles of the rule of law.
Special attention is paid to human rights issues, the reform of the electoral system, the expansion of the powers of representative bodies, strengthening the independence of the judiciary and improving the mechanisms of social protection of the population.
The provisions on improving the effectiveness of interaction between government agencies and citizens, contributing to the sustainable development of society and strengthening social justice, are also explained.
It was also noted that the amendments to the Constitution were supported by the citizens of the country in a national referendum, which became an important manifestation of the people's will and confirmation of the course towards political modernization.
