Representatives of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan participated in the meeting of the CIS expert group

Representatives of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, headed by Deputy Director for Organizational and Methodological Work Kanat Tekebayev, took part in a meeting of the expert group to discuss the draft Regulations on the basic organization of the member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States in the field of medical rehabilitation and sanatorium-resort treatment.

During the meeting, the Kazakh side presented proposals aimed at strengthening interstate cooperation and developing a modern system of medical rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment in the CIS countries. In particular, it is proposed to expand the participation of national research institutes of the CIS member states, to include provisions on the development of digital technologies and artificial intelligence technologies in the field of medical rehabilitation and sanatorium treatment.

All proposals made by representatives of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan were reviewed and supported by the meeting participants and taken into account in the final version of the draft document.

The adoption of these amendments will strengthen scientific and methodological cooperation among the CIS member states, improve the quality and accessibility of rehabilitation care, and create conditions for the further development of the sanatorium industry.
