Who Is Eligible for Free Sanatorium and Resort Treatment in Kazakhstan and How to Obtain a Voucher?

Sanatorium and resort treatment remains one of the most in-demand rehabilitation measures in Kazakhstan. Free vouchers are provided to people with disabilities and certain preferential categories. In our video report, we подробно explain who is eligible for sanatorium and resort treatment, what documents are required, and where to start the process of obtaining a voucher.

The Burabay Medical and Health Complex, a branch of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, provides free comprehensive medical rehabilitation (restorative treatment) to adults aged 18 and over, as well as to children and adolescents aged 10 to 18 suffering from diseases of the bronchopulmonary system. The rehabilitation program is available within the framework of the Guaranteed Volume of Free Medical Care (GVFMC) and the Compulsory Social Health Insurance (CSHI).

Adults who are under dispensary supervision with the following diagnoses are eligible for free rehabilitation:

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) (J44.8)

Bronchial asthma (J45.0)

Mixed bronchial asthma (J45.8)

Children and adolescents with the following diagnoses:

Simple chronic bronchitis (J41.0)

Bronchial asthma (J45.0)

Mixed bronchial asthma (J44.8)
