A working trip to South Korea.

From September 7 to September 13, 2025, Director of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Sayagul Kairgeldina and expert doctor Lilia Gizatulina visited South Korea as part of a working trip. The delegation participated in a training program on traditional Korean medicine organized by the Ministry of Health and Social Welfare of the Republic of Korea, the National Institute for the Development of Korean Medicine (NIKOM), the Korea Foundation and the Secretariat of the Korea–Central Asia Cooperation Forum.

During the program, Kazakhstani specialists took part in the opening ceremony, visited leading clinics and research centers in Seoul, and also got acquainted with the practitioners of traditional Korean medicine and advanced technologies in the field of rehabilitation. The key event was the International Symposium "Korean Medicine meets Artificial Intelligence". In addition, the delegation visited the National Institute for the Development of Korean Medicine (NIKOM), Daegu Haani University of Traditional Medicine and the GMP Center.

The program ended with a round table devoted to issues of cooperation and development of research in the field of traditional medicine, lectures on politics, education and clinical practice, as well as the presentation of certificates to participants.

The trip became an important platform for the exchange of experience, discussion of advanced technologies in the field of rehabilitation, acquaintance with the practice of traditional medicine and strengthening international relations in the field of healthcare.
