Astana hosted the 10th Anniversary International Scientific and Practical Forum "Shipazhai-2025", dedicated to the 115th anniversary of the Burabay sanatorium

The forum brought together representatives of the health resort industry of Kazakhstan and foreign countries.

The event was attended by the heads and chief doctors of sanatoriums, specialists of rehabilitation centers, delegations from China, Germany, Russia, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The official opening took place with a welcoming speech by the Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan Akmaral Alnazarova, who emphasized the importance of improving the health of the population thanks to natural, climatic and landscape features.

Within the framework of the Forum, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the State Institution "Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Medical Expertise and Rehabilitation" in Minsk, Republic of Belarus.

The event also recognized the best enterprises in the health resort industry, including the Kausar Bulak health resort, recognized as the best in 2025 in the "Recognition of the Year" nomination.

A number of health resorts were awarded with certificates of appreciation, such as the Keruen, Altyn Shanyrak, and Akniet health resorts.

Veterans of the Burabay health resort, who contributed to the development of the enterprise, were also not ignored. Everyone was presented with certificates of appreciation and memorable gifts.

The Shipazhai-2025 forum is an annual platform for discussing current issues in the field of balneology, introducing advanced technologies, and sharing experiences.

The main goal of the event is to develop and improve the health resort treatment system, as well as strengthen international cooperation in this area.

The Forum program included a conference "New technologies in spa medicine and physical rehabilitation: achievements and prospects", a seminar "Digital solutions in the spa industry", a practical master class with the participation of foreign experts on the topic "The role of traditional medicine in spa treatment", as well as a round table "Georesorts: an innovative approach to the sustainable development of global geoparks of the Eurasian Union".

The exhibition exposition included the latest achievements in the field of balneology, medical equipment, diagnostic and rehabilitation solutions, mineral waters, therapeutic mud, climatotherapy, anti-aging technologies, pharmaceuticals, specialized nutrition and IT solutions in the field of spa treatment.

Following the forum, a Resolution was adopted on the further development of the spa industry, through the development of a state strategy including the investment attractiveness of spa organizations, the introduction of standards for national and international accreditation of sanatoriums, digitalization of the industry and much more.

The anniversary forum "Shipazhai-2025" confirmed its importance as a key platform for industry specialists and an important stage in promoting effective practices and sustainable development of the health resort system.
