Future of Tourism in Kazakhstan Discussed in Burabay

On April 29–30, 2025, the Wyndham Garden Hotel in Burabay hosted the International Scientific and Practical Conference titled “Tourism in Kazakhstan: Current State and Prospects.”
The event opened with welcoming remarks from representatives of the Akmola Region Akimat, the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and the Burabay District Akimat.
During the plenary session, presentations were delivered on key areas of tourism development, including:
methodological support for youth tourism and local history studies in the modern world,
experience in international partnership,
cooperation among Caspian Sea countries in the development of cruise tourism,
and the environmental dimension of tourism as a foundation for sustainable development, among others.
Sectional sessions focused on issues and solutions related to domestic tourism in Kazakhstan, international tourism, and strategies for promoting the country’s tourism potential abroad. A systemic approach to sustainable tourism development was also a major topic of discussion.
The conference was attended by Dinara Orlova, Head of the Educational Department of the branch of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation under the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan, “Burabay Health and Wellness Complex.”
The participation of the Institute’s representatives in such forums highlights its strong role as an expert and active contributor to the development of Kazakhstan’s resort, wellness, and tourism infrastructure.
