All About Sanatoriums in Kazakhstan – MOC "Zharkent Arasan"
Published by : Диас
The Medical Wellness Complex "Zharkent-Arasan" began operating in 2004 on the site of a former Soviet-era inter-collective farm balneological sanatorium that had fallen into decline. As early as 1952, thermal mineral radon water from the Ku-Arasan (Borokhudzir) springs, long popular among locals, was brought to the surface through a pipeline. In 1961, hospitals began to be built near the healing water, and in 1967, an all-Union health resort was officially opened here.
Over the decades, numerous studies have confirmed the positive effects of radon waters on the human body. However, perhaps the most significant evidence of their effectiveness is the loyalty of visitors: many have been coming here regularly for over fifteen years, some even twice a year, as recommended for the best therapeutic results. These individuals can rightfully be considered adherents of radon spring therapy and, consequently, advocates of a high quality of life.
"Zharkent-Arasan" Sanatorium is surrounded by mountains with uniquely shaped granite formations and the crystal-clear Borokhudzir River. The gorge, where the sanatorium is located, is densely covered with shrub vegetation, turning a delicate green in spring.
The average annual air temperature in the sanatorium area is 8.5°C. The lowest average monthly temperature is -11°C, with an absolute minimum recorded in February and December at -42°C. The warmest month of the year is July, with an average monthly temperature of 24.2°C, and the highest recorded temperature reaching 42°C.
"Zharkent-Arasan" Sanatorium holds a license for sanatorium activities, providing various types of services, including medical care. It offers primary pre-medical care, primary medical care, and primary specialized care, ensuring high-quality medical services.
