Our next guest is the head of the rehabilitation department No. 1 of the Burabai LOC, a pulmonologist Kairat Tastanbekov about the benefits of physical activity.

"Physical activity is one of the key factors for maintaining health and improving the quality of life. Recent research by the World Health Organization (WHO) shows that about 1.8 billion people worldwide experience physical inactivity, which accounts for 31% of the world's adult population. Regular physical activity has a beneficial effect on the body, reducing the risk of mortality from all causes, including cardiovascular diseases. It also prevents the development of hypertension, type 2 diabetes and certain cancers, reduces symptoms of anxiety and depression, improves cognitive function and sleep quality, stabilizes weight and helps fight obesity."

Kairat Tastanbekov emphasizes the importance of reducing sedentary periods: "Whether it's work, sports, recreation, walking or cycling, as well as daily activity, any form of movement is a step towards health. Don't forget to incorporate movement into your daily life. This is a simple solution that will help you stay healthy for many years to come."
