The innovative potential of the CIS was discussed in Astana: priorities and prospects for cooperation

On November 6-7, 2024, the 34th meeting of the Interstate Council for Cooperation in Scientific, Technical and Innovation Spheres was held in Astana. The event also included an International Scientific and Practical Conference on the topic: "Innovative potential of the CIS: best practices in applying scientific achievements in the economy and social sphere"
The meeting is attended by representatives of the CIS countries: Kazakhstan, Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee and invited experts.
The Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan was represented by Deputy Director for Organizational and Methodological Kanat Tekebayev, Press Secretary Yerkezhan Atanova and Marketing Manager Madina Kalkesheva.
Deputy Secretary General of the CIS Denis Trefilov delivered a welcoming speech, emphasizing the importance of cooperation between the CIS countries in the scientific, technical and innovation fields. He paid special attention to the need to implement strategic documents, such as the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the CIS for 2025-2035.
Participants also discussed intensifying interaction with relevant organizations to improve the regulatory framework and implement the Interstate Program for Innovative Cooperation until 2030.
