Experts of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation took part in Astana Medical Forum 2024

Representatives of the Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the first international scientific and practical conference "Astana Medical Forum 2024: Medicine of the future - integration of science, Education and practice" dedicated to the 60th anniversary of Astana Medical University.

The delegation of the Institute included Kanat Tekebayev, Deputy Director for Organizational and Methodological Work, Marlan Yessilbayev, Head of the Marketing and International Cooperation Department, Baurzhan Madina, Head of the Research Department, Yerkezhan Atanova, press secretary, and Madina Kalkesheva, marketer.

The event brought together key participants in the field of healthcare, science and education, including representatives of the Government and Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan, ministries and government agencies, as well as quasi-governmental structures. The forum was attended by leading academic leaders, scientists from Kazakhstan and foreign scientific institutes, as well as experts in practical healthcare.

At the beginning of the opening ceremony of the forum, Minister of Health Akmaral Alnazarova conveyed congratulations to the staff of the Medical University on behalf of the Head of State, noting the contribution of the university to the development of medicine and expressing gratitude to its staff and teachers. "The history of Astana Medical University dates back to 1964 with the creation of the Tselinograd State Medical Institute, and over the years it has become a leader in the field of medical education and science, supporting reforms and initiatives of the Ministry of Health," the head of the department stressed.

For 60 years, the university has produced more than 30 thousand certified specialists who today work as highly qualified doctors, pharmacists and health care organizers.

The Forum has become a unique platform for the exchange of experience, discussion of topical issues and search for solutions in the fields of healthcare, science and education. The program of the event included plenary sessions, panel discussions, sessions on the commercialization of scientific developments, a hackathon on the digital transformation of healthcare, as well as an exhibition of innovative projects and digital technologies. The participants discussed modern challenges in the field of healthcare, training for the medicine of the future, the introduction of innovative technologies into clinical practice, the development of digitalization and the prospects of medical science.

The Research Institute of Balneology and Medical Rehabilitation of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan continues to increase scientific potential and strengthen international cooperation to achieve its strategic goals in the field of medical rehabilitation and balneology.
